Safer Internet Day and an afternoon of Neil Armstrong

This week we have celebrated life online by taking part in Safer Internet Day. The message this year was to talk about the things we do online to help to keep us safe. The children enjoyed drawing the ways they knew how to be safe online and wrote questions, thoughts and ideas about their own use of the internet.
On Wednesday afternoon we were lucky enough to have a visitor come into school to talk to us about the life of Neil Armstrong and what made him want to become an astronaut.
The children were able to dress up and make a timeline of his life, take part in some of the training exercises Armstrong would have carried out and examined different artefacts from the moon landing.
Thank you for your support in enabling us to have visitors come into school.
Have a lovely restful half term and see you all on 20th February.
