What a busy week!

What a lovely week we have had in Hazel class.

We have enjoyed planning our own Whales’ Song story, introducing our new characters and working hard to use adjectives and conjunctions in our work. We have also been practicing our addition and subtraction strategies and applying them to reasoning style questions.

We have also been learning about Lucy Cheesman (Yr1) and David Attenborough (Yr2) in our topic work and what they would need to take on their travels and how they would travel the world. We then had to compare this to our modern transport and discuss what we would prefer… there were some very interesting answers!!!

Emily – ‘I enjoyed starting to plan my own Whales’ Song story’

Aaisha – ‘I enjoyed packing Lucy Cheeseman’s suitcase for her long journey’

Alayna – ‘I liked when we were subtracting the two numbers in maths’

Joanna – ‘I like it when we did science today, because we learnt what babies and toddlers can and can not do’

Ivy – ‘I liked when we learnt how to exchange in our maths lesson’

Dominic – ‘I enjoyed drawing and writing my own timeline’

Kaleesi – ‘I really liked learning about God and listening to the story of 5 loaves and 2 fishes’

Pearl – ‘I liked learning about the block graphs that we have done today’

Adil – ‘I liked learning my spellings this week and doing the spelling quiz today’

Have a lovely weekend,
